Smart City Enters New York Market with Acquisition of “Laptop Lane” at Javits Conventions Center

Smart City announced today that the company has acquired the office/telecommunications services suites know as "Laptop Lane" at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. These facilities offer show managers, exhibitors, event contractors and attendees a private "New York Office" each equipped with phone, computer, printer and high-speed Internet
access. Four plush executive conference rooms are also included in the complex.

"The Javits suites, which we are renaming "My New York Office," are a logical extension of the technology support services we provide in convention facilities across the nation," says Martin Rubin, Smart City's CEO. "These temporary usage office suites are more than virtual - they provide all the conveniences and equipment needed to transact business away from home."

Each suite and conference room is equipped with a computer with T-1 speed Internet access, a printer, phone, plush seating and work area. Users can also easily attach their own laptop computers to the provided Internet circuits. Conference rooms can accommodate six to eight people with existing seating, with space for food service or presentation equipment.

Conveniently located on Javits' Level 2 with direct elevator/escalator access from Level 1 and 3 exhibit halls, My New York Office is ideal for exhibitor customer meetings as well as event contractor and show management offices.
